Welcome to my lovely home from home, 3 bedroomed, self-catering accommodation in Millhouse Green, located on the north eastern edge of the Peak District National Park.

The One in the Middle’  is a well-furnished terraced house, ideally situated in the centre of the village with its local Pub serving delicious home cooked food and real ales, Village Store where most basic food items can be purchased and a small Post Office.

Being only a few minutes away from the Trans Pennine Trail, the property is in a beautiful area for walking and cycling and so is an excellent choice for a holiday and also suitable for longer stays, visiting family or friends, working in the area, or when looking for a house to buy or whilst refurbishing a property.

The living room comprises of a large sofa and two armchairs, is fully carpeted and has a television and radio. There is a small bookcase and coffee table.  The original brick fireplace gives a rustic feel with its cast iron gas stove which makes the room cosy even on the coldest of Yorkshire days.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob and extractor, full size dishwasher, microwave oven and toaster. A good selection of crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils are all included. There is also a small table and chair. A door leads off from the kitchen into the cellar where, at the top of the steps, the full size fridge/freezer can be found. The kitchen also houses the combi boiler which provides instant hot water and runs the central heating system.

Upstairs, the main front bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers, full length mirror and a large walk-in wardrobe.  Across the stairs is a smaller room with a single bed, drawers and another walk in wardrobe. Beds are made up with duvet, pillows and bed linen. A set of towels is provided for each visitor. The bathroom is also on this floor which comprises a bath, hand basin, toilet and a modern electric shower over the bath.

The attic room is another large room with a double bed, hanging rail, drawers and skylight window.  Due to having the original steep staircase, this room is unsuitable for small children and the elderly.
There is an enclosed, south facing garden to the rear of the house with a patio table and chairs and potted plants.   

A lockable out building is at the bottom of the garden which is suitable for storing bicycles.

Superfast Broadband is provided and is free for all guests to access.

Please note that the house is set on a main road through the village so there will be some associated noise. Off street parking is available.

Children

Children are welcome, however please note that the loft room is unsuitable for young children, due to the steep stair steps and the possibility of falling through safety rails whilst playing.  

Pets

Dogs are allowed in the holiday cottage but must be kept under strict control. They are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture and must sleep in the kitchen, guests must supply dogs own bedding.

  • £350.00 per week (for up to 2 weeks)
  • 2 - 6 nights £60.00 per night
  • Minimum stay of nights

For 3 or more nights - £70.00 deposit. If booking is made within the 6 weeks please make a full payment on booking.

The above prices are applicable to shorter stays. I am happy to discuss a different rate for people who make a definite longer term booking.
