Smallshaw Farm Cottages & Spa are self catering cottages with a newly opened day Spa located just outside Millhouse Green. Each cottage is attractively furnished to a high standard, with exposed beams and stonework retaining much of the original character. Fully equipped, each cottage has under-floor heating (conventional heating inThe Farmhouse) and all the comforts of home,creating a cosy and relaxing atmosphere for your holiday.

All our prices include duvets, bed linen, towels and all heating and lighting. A cot and high chair is available on request.

In an aim to lessen our carbon footprint, in November 2013, we converted to wood fuelled heating by installing a biomass boiler.This brings huge benefits to our cottages in the form of piping hot water, high pressure showers and the continued luxury of underfloor heating (conventional in Farmhouse) while at the same time being environmentally friendly.

There is a outdoor hot tub located in the garden area for use by the guests.There is also a large garden with patio area and garden seating. Children welcome from any age.

Ideally located if you love the outdoors, the cottages overlook the Transpennine Trail and are only 45 minutes drive away from Hathersage, the centre of Peak District walking country. Dogs are welcome. A welcome hamper is provided on arrival (week breaks only). Local information and leaflets on the local area are provided in each cottage.As owners we live next door to the cottages and are always on site to personally welcome our visitors and are around to answer any queries. Our lets are Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday for our week bookings, we also offer weekend breaks from a Friday to Monday (3 nights) and a mid week break from Monday to Friday (4 nights). Arrival times are from 4.00pm and departure by 10am. We also now offer overnight spa breaks on a Tuesday or Wednesday night which combine a stay in our luxury accommodation as well as 2 full days use of the Spa.

We are excited to announce that our luxury holiday cottages now has a new dimension with the opening of a stunning day spa.

It features six different luxurious thermal experiences designed to revitalise and rejuvenate, each delivering an enticing combination of heat, light, humidity and fragrance. Our spa has the UK’s only rustic sauna with picturesque countryside views, a Rasul mud room, a Himalayan Sauna, Massage foot spas, a Herbal sauna, Aromatherapy steam room and a Tropical experience shower. By Road:

Leave the M1 motorway at Jct 35a onto the A616 Manchester Road. At the first mini roundabout go straight ahead. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit carrying on straight ahead to Langsett. After approximately 8 miles you will reach the Flouch roundabout. Take the 2nd exit A616 to Holmfirth, across the mini roundabout. After approximately 2 miles there is a crossroads, turn right and take the B6106 signposted Penistone. After approximately 1 mile there is a bus stop on the left hand side, take a left turn directly after this into Hollin Lane. At the fork in the lane bear right and come all the way to the top past the farm to Smallshaw Farm Cottages.

The nearest rail station is Penistone 4 miles away. Here you can get a direct link from Sheffield. There is no public transport directly to the cottages.
